Come join our dynamic team! The City of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Motor Equipment Repair Person. The Motor Equipment Repair Person performs skilled maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work on City fleet vehicles and equipment, including automotive and non-automotive equipment and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hoisting systems. Ensures vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe and proper working condition through preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Performs all other related work as required, directed and as the situation dictates. This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position, starting hiring rate: $30.75/hour plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
