The Yes for a Safe Massachusetts Ballot Committee is seeking a talented Campaign Manager/Coordinator for the effort to protect Massachusetts’ 2024 gun safety law on the November 2026 ballot.
In 2024, Massachusetts passed its strongest gun safety law in a decade, cracking down on ghost guns and modernizing safety regulations. Now the gun lobby wants to overturn this updated law with a repeal referendum. The Yes for a Safe Massachusetts campaign is building a powerful state-wide response to protect this law on the 2026 ballot and keep our communities safe.
The Campaign Manager will report to the campaign leadership team. They will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the campaign and campaign staff, work with the campaign chair and field consultants to coordinate campaign strategy and execution between the leadership team and staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day aspects of the campaign and working with the campaign leadership team to coordinate between staff and campaign vendors.
- Oversee campaign messaging/communications, field and membership mobilization, data collection and administration, polling and research, paid/earned/social media, website design and development, and other aspects of the campaign as needed.
- Working with multiple endorsing partners.
- Working with the fundraising team to manage the campaign budget and cash flow and working with the compliance and campaign leadership team to ensure campaign adherence to OCPF regulations.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Electoral campaign experience, or statewide ballot experience
- Experience with working with a team of outside vendors and consultants that will complement the full-time campaign team
- Demonstrated ability to hire and manage a strong, effective and diverse staff
- Knowledge of gun violence prevention work in Massachusetts and its political landscape.
- A professional, courteous and respectful disposition with all members of the campaign, staff and endorsing members, along with the ability to represent the campaign to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, as needed.
- Flexible schedule, with some evening and weekend work on a regular basis.
