Job description:

Boston-based government affairs operation seeks a top-notch candidate to support two executives in a busy office environment. Tasks include scheduling and calendar management, monitoring and management of daily mail and email inbox, oversight of front desk/reception, preparing for meetings and special events (to include catering and other logistics), coordination with other professional service providers on IT, billing, accounting and reporting, and other general tasks related to office management. Candidate will be responsibility for creating briefings for upcoming meetings, taking notes and tracking follow-up tasks. Candidate will have an overall awareness of clients and projects in order to support the executives as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience supporting executive-level staff and be highly organized with the resourcefulness to manage conflicts and ability to anticipate next steps.  Outstanding attention to detail, demonstrated ability to multitask, and awareness of political environments are required. Candidate must offer strong technology skills, including the ability to implement new and evolving technology applications. Candidate must be reliable and able to manage confidential information in a professional and sensitive manner.

Position is full time and requires 4 days in the office with one day remote. Candidate must be prepared on Day 1 with the skills and experience needed to make an immediate operational impact. Prior work experience in Massachusetts state government is a plus.
